January 21, 1925 - July 7, 2015

Grace E. Koehn, 90 years old, of Beaver Dam, WI, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Hillside Manor Nursing Home, Beaver Dam. A private family funeral service will be held with Chaplain Dennis Richards officiating. Burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Columbus. Grace Elizabeth was born on January 21, 1925 to DeWitt C. & Esther (Brounk) Allen in Columbus, WI. She was united in marriage to Merlin H. Koehn on August 21, 1942 in Columbus. Grace had a great love for animals. She also enjoyed spending time with her outdoor flowers. Grace is survived by: her children- Donna (Richard) Woock of Beloit and Sherry Bump of Baraboo; her step-mother & dear friend Gladys Allen of Beaver Dam; her grandchildren- Jason Woock, Victoria Woock, Lisa Drews, Jenny Drews, and Heidi Bump; her great grandson Lucian Neumeyer; her 2 cats Baxter and Buster; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Grace is preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2000, her sister Inez, and her 2 sons-in-law Albert Drews and Lance Bump. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Hillside Manor staff & friends for their compassion and care they provided during her stay there. The family would also like to thank the Beaver Dam Veterinary Clinic for all the care and love of Grace’s pets over the years. The family would also like to give a heartfelt thank you to Lori for the fostering of Grace’s beloved Baxter and Buster, providing them with a home.

My deepest sympathy to Grace's Family. She was such a sweet lady. When I was delivering clothing to the residents, she always stopped me and asked if I had any of her clothes for her that day. Then she would give me that smile of hers. I'm really going to miss that. And we were never able to leave her room without visiting her candy bag, and she wouldn't take no for an answer. I also enjoyed talking with her daughter and son in law. Super nice people. Grace and her family are going to leave a big hole at the manor. Colleen (Linen Services)
