Grace G. Guenther

Grace G. Guenther, age 85, of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam. A visitation will take place on Saturday, August 20th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. also on Saturday, August 20th at the church with Rev. Seth Dorn officiating. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Grace was born to Ben and Viola (Welch) Matuseski on December 30, 1930 in the Town of Westford. She was a graduate of Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam. On June 24, 1950, Grace was united in marriage with Donald G. Guenther at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Grace was an active member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam, she was a member of the Ladies Aid and Mission Aid. She also enjoyed spending time gardening and bird watching. But most of all Grace loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters; Donna (John) Henriksen of Burnett, Diana (Bruce) Wietzke of Delavan, Laurie (Steve) Fanshaw of Beaver Dam, Amy (Skip) Noon of Menomonee Falls, her 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald in 1990, 1 sister; Leona, 3 brothers; Kenneth, Lyman, and Glen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. The family wishes to thank the staff at Hillside Manor, and Hillside Hospice for their wonderful care.
