Grace King Lehman

Grace King Lehman and her family prayed together one last time at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee on April 16, 2026, as Jesus took her by the hand to heaven.

Visitation for Grace will be at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. Funeral services will follow at church on Tuesday beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Philip Heyer officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Emily Cemetery in Fox Lake.

Grace was born on August 14, 1941. She lived her first eighteen years on the Kanzenbach farm just outside of Horicon WI. Her last 65 plus years she lived with her husband Curtis A. Lehman, her last fifty years in a home, a hundred-year-old Victorian stye house that she loved to decorate for all to enjoy. Grace and Curt thoroughly loved doing little things in life together, but they did not look at them as little because it was a blessing from God just to be together.

Grace wanted to designate her time in helping others, for no other pay than the smile on their faces. She volunteered for over forty years at different capacities with the Granddaddy of all rummage sales, the Bethesda Country Fair that assisted the less fortunate people. She also spent many years working with elderly at the local hospital. It did not matter to her who she helped whether tiny babies or those that needed help at an older age. In her latter years, she probably could have used more help herself but remained very independent. In her last moments she even developed friendships with the doctors and nurses, who admired her, and expressed her love for her Savior, including one big strapping nurse; he knelt beside her bed and said, “I love you, Grace”.

Survivors include her husband, Curtis of Beaver Dam; two children, Daniel Curtis (Karen) Lehman, and Gwendolyn (Robert) Lynn; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Alex), Justin, Cody, “RC” Alex, Sidney (Gracie), Hailey (Trevor), and Michael; two great grandchildren, Evelyn and June; her brother, Ken (Diane) Kanzenbach; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Randall Scott Lehman.

If desired, memorials may be made in Grace King Lehman’s name to St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.
