Hannelore Steinbach, age 84, of Mayville, Wisconsin, was called home to Heaven on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Froedtert Hospital in West Bend with her loving family by her side.
A funeral service for Hannelore will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church (River Church) in the town Theresa with Rev. Douglas Zahner officiating. A visitation for Hannelore will be held at church on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at St. John’s Cemetery in Mayville.
Hannelore was born the daughter of Paul and Anna (nee Jablonski) Faust in Germany on April 12, 1941. She was united in marriage to Heinz Wittrock on February 14, 1959, in Lilienthal, Germany. Heinz passed in 1989. Hannelore was united in marriage to her second husband Louis Steinbach on May 30, 1992.
Hannelore was the owner/operator of the Farmersville Inn and the Yellow Rose in Mayville. She took great pride in everything she did.
Hannelore was a faithful member at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church (River Church) in town Theresa. She enjoyed Wii Bowling, casino trips, and flowers, especially red roses. Hannelore loved travelling back to Germany to visit family and took many trips throughout her life.
Hannelore is survived by her children: Brita Bandle of Theresa and James Wittrock (Tracy Neu) of Iron Ridge; her four grandchildren: Heidi (Michael) Lehman, Holly Bandle, Tyler Wittrock (Tori), and Tanner Wittrock; and her four great-grandchildren. Hannelore is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Hannelore was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Heinz; second husband Louis; her two sisters Ursula (Ervin) Marquess and Inge (Heinz) Lindeman; and her two brothers Lothar (Wilma) Faust and Hartwin Faust.
The family wishes to thank Froedtert Hospital in West Bend as well as the staff and caregivers at Hope Nursing Home in Lomira for the care and compassion shown to Hannelore. Thank you to Lori Steinbach and Kim Chiconas for their support and care to Mom and family.
