Harvey C. Schultz

Harvey C. Schultz, 95, of Juneau passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Prairie Ridge Hospital in Columbus, WI.

A visitation for Harvey will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.  A funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Jim Wendt officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in the Town of Trenton, Wisconsin.

Harvey was born on April 20, 1929 the son of Oscar A. and Evelyn (Heintz) Schultz in Horicon, Wisconsin.  He was a 1947 graduate of Juneau High School.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. On June 4, 1973, he was united in marriage with Nancy Lewis in Long Beach, California.

Harvey began his early career in accounting, working for several firms in California.  In 1976, he made the bold decision to pursue a new venture by purchasing and operating Schultz’s Cheese Haus, a beloved retail cheese shop for the community.  After retiring from the cheese shop, Harvey continued to stay active, working for Jung’s Garden Center in Randolph, where he could enjoy his passion for gardening.  He loved tending to his yard and found great joy in being outdoors.

Harvey is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Nancy along with his daughter Karin Hawkins of Laguna Niguel, CA; his granddaughter Lindsay (Steve) Fernandez; great granddaughters: Isla and Laykee; his sister Doris Berger of Juneau and his brother Duane (Betty) Schultz of Horicon.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Harold Schultz and his sister Betty Paul.
