Helen E. Kruscinski, age 88, of Reeseville, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Charleston House in Beaver Dam where she has lived for the past 8 years. Visitation for Helen will be at Salem Lutheran Church in Lowell on Wednesday, January 6, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. Funeral services will follow at church on Wednesday beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Vander Galien officiating. Burial will follow at Reeseville Cemetery. The former Helen Eugenia Kottwitz was born on May 18, 1927 in Watertown, Wisconsin to the late August and Ida (Baumann) Kottwitz and was later confirmed at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. On September 23, 1947, she was united in marriage with Eugene Kruscinski at Salem Lutheran Church in Lowell; Helen farmed with Eugene until 1965. She worked at the Reeseville Glove factory for 9 years and then at Weyenberg Shoe until she retired in 1989. Helen was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Lowell since 1946 where she was active with the Altar Guild. She was also member of the Reeseville American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include a special niece and godchild, Diane Bittner of Beaver Dam; two godsons, Rusty Clevenger of McFarland and Brian Dykstra of Beaver Dam; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on their wedding anniversary in 1994; an infant son in 1958; seven sisters; Gladys Mohr, Clara Stangler, Dorothy Steinhorst, Adeline Keilhofer, Elsie Salmi, Myrtle Preder, Florence Henning, and their spouses; and five brothers, Henry, Earl, Harvey, Leonard, and Reuben Kottwitz and their spouses. Memorials may be made in Helen Kruscinski’s name to Salem Lutheran Church in Lowell or Hillside HomeCare/Hospice in Beaver Dam.
