Henry A. Dutkiewicz, age 91, of Fox Lake, died Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
Friends may call at Annunciation Catholic Church in Fox Lake on Saturday, December 30, 2006 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at church on Saturday, beginning at 10:00 AM. Fr. Michael L. Wild will officiate. Burial will be at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Milwaukee on Saturday at 12:30 PM.
Henry Anthony Dutkiewicz was born on October 12, 1915 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late James and Frances (Ziarnek) Dutkiewicz. Following graduation from Milwaukee Boys Tech High School, Henry enlisted in the United States Army. He served with the 32nd Division in the South Pacific during World War II. He enjoyed boxing and was a Golden Gloves champion in his weight class. Henry worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for many years before opening a supper club in Milwaukee. After 20 years, Henry decided to move on from the restaurant business and then went to work for MMSD until he retired. He loved his garden and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in Fox Lake.
Survivors include his, wife Barbara Dutkiewicz of Fox Lake, two sons, Scott (Mary) Dutkiewicz of Milwaukee and Alan (Eve) Dutkiewicz of Kenosha, two step-children, Steven (Susan) Blinderman of Milwaukee and Brenda (Robert) Nitz of Milwaukee, eleven grandchildren, a great grandson, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Wanda Dutkiewicz and two brothers, Leonard Dutkiewicz and Erv Drake.
