Irma L. Ganz

Irma L. Ganz, 101, of Beaver Dam passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the Remembrance Home in Beaver Dam. Irma was born the daughter of Herman W. and Amanda (Schaefer) Lutzke on August 25, 1917 in Beaver Dam. She was a 1936 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. Irma was married to Lawrence G. Ganz on August 23, 1941 at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Irma farmed with her husband Lawrence in the South Beaver Dam area. After her time farming, she was employed at the Lutheran Hospital in Beaver Dam and later managed Mini Maxy Storage on DeClark St. in Beaver Dam. Irma was an active member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Fox Lake where she served on the ladies aid. In her spare time, Irma enjoyed attending antique auctions. Irma is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lawrence in 2003, and her brother, Martin Lutzke in 1999. A visitation will be held at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Fox Lake on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. (noon). The funeral service will immediately follow at the church with Rev. David Nottling officiating. Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Memorials may be directed to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Fox Lake.
