James C. ‘Jim’ Bell, age 72, of Iron Ridge, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 19, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
In honoring Jim’s wishes-no formal services will be held.
Jim was born the son of Robert and Eileen (Schuppe) Bell on December 8, 1950 in Fond du Lac. He was united in marriage to Cathy Ilgen on May 30, 1970 at Immanuel Trinity in Fond du Lac. Jim had worked for over 30 years for the Ethan Allen School for Boys, where he enjoyed his time and the people he worked with. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed golfing and his yearly canoe trips to northern Wisconsin with his friends from Ethan Allen School. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be missed dearly.
Jim is survived by his wife Cathy from Iron Ridge. His daughters- Tracy (Mike) Dillon of Fond du Lac, Pamela (Ty) Gross of Fond du Lac, and Paula (Dave) Hesprich of Dousman. His siblings- Wally (Renee) Bell of Fond du Lac and Tammi (Kevin) Zabel of Fond du Lac. His grandchildren- Brenden (Kayla) Bell, Kyle Bell, Kassie (Mike) Sheehan, Brady Dillon, Colton Hesprich, and David Hesprich. His great grandchildren- Carter, Addie, Brooklyn, and Leila. His nephew- Shane (Tara) Ilgen. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his in laws- Lloyd and Virginia Ilgen, and his granddaughter Kayla Bell.
