James Michael Ready, Jr., age 88, of Beaver Dam, WI, passed away on October 14, 2015 at Crossroads Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mayville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam. A visitation will be held on October 20 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will take place at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Lowell. Jim was born on June 16, 1927 in Watertown to James Sr. and Irene (Nies) Ready. He was united in marriage to Adeline M. Hupf in 1971 in Juneau. Jim was a dairy and hog farmer in rural Beaver Dam. In his spare time Jim enjoyed playing cards especially euchre. He also enjoyed attending area and church festivals. Jim was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Reeseville. Jim is survived by his wife Adeline of Beaver Dam. His step children- Larry Bilke of Beaver Dam, Dianne (fiancé Ed Schuler) Wendt of Beaver Dam. Wendy Wendt of Beaver Dam, Pam (Dave) Zillmer of Beaver Dam. 8 grandchildren- Leah (Steve) Sanfilippo, Angela (fiancé Andy Schmidt) Krueger, Amber (Mike) Seifert, Benjamin Wendt, Christopher (Angela) Wendt, Ryan (Melissa) Zillmer, Matthew (Nichole) Zillmer, and Jacob Zillmer. 12 great grandchildren. Further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, son in law Robert Wendt, and grandson Donald Wendt.
