James Perkins, age 76, of Beaver Dam, died Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Randolph Health Center.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes, he will be cremated.

Jim was born on March 10, 1949 in Lancaster, New Hampshire to Gordon and Lillian (nee Calkins) Perkins. He served in the Unites Staes Army during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1971. While in the Army, he met his future wife and, after being discharged, Jim moved to Wisconsin. On August 12, 1972, he was united in marriage with Susan Jarogoske at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. She preceded him in death in 2022. Jim worked for Maysteel as a welder and earned his way to being an expediter. He was an outgoing guy with a lot of love in his heart.

Survivors include his two children, James Perkins and Kellie Perkins, both of Beaver Dam; five grandchildren, Sydnee and Christopher Perkins, Kera Stibb, Coleton Marshall, and Kaden Perkins; two great grandchildren, Erin Perkins and Summer Perkins; three nieces, Kara, Heather, and Jessica; a nephew, Josh; other relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and three brothers.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Heartland Hospice and Randolph Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the love and care they showed to Jim.

Jim was such a wonderful guy. He was one of my favorite 'regulars ' at the laundry mat and I looked forward to seeing him every week. He always had something smart to say and had enough stories to tell. We could sit all day on the bench out front and just chat. My deepest condolences to everyone who's lives he impacted. He will be missed.
