I remember Jane and her partner Pete fondly when my daughter was growing up in a house just around the corner from theirs. She was always kind and had a special sparkle in her eyes. I remember their passion for UW football!

Miss Gruber was my Guidance Counselor at Orchard Ridge Middle School. She believed in me and helped me become the person I am today. She made a difference. I have never forgotten her and would list her as one of the most important people in my life.

Miss Gruber was my eighth grade science teacher her first year at Orchard Ridge. She was an excellent teacher but it was her quiet kindness I most remember. After all these years, I still remember her with great fondness and great respect, and it saddens me to hear of her death. My condolences to her family and friends.

Jane was our neighbor on Ravenswood. We loved visiting with her and Pete while my husband mowed their lawn. She loved watching my children grow up, talking sports, gardening and teaching ( we are both teachers). We both moved from Ravenswood, but kept up with Christmas cards and phone calls and even a few runs to the grocery store. I am terribly sad that I did not stop over more often. We last talked after Pete passed away. Thank you for your friendship it was truly a treasure we will hold onto. Tracy & Kurt Hellenbrand
