Jean E. McCarthy

Jean D. McCarthy, age 79, of Beaver Dam, died on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the Remembrance Home in Beaver Dam.

Friends and family may call on Saturday, March 24, 2007 at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 127 W. Maple Ave. Beaver Dam, from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday following the visitation at 11:00 AM. Fr. John Schreiter will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael”s Cemetery.

The former Jean Dorothy Kaiser was born on March 21, 1927, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Rose) Kaiser. Jean was a 1946 graduate of the Beaver Dam High School. On June 6, 1959, she united in marriage to Ronald McCarthy in Beaver Dam. Jean worked at the Wisconsin Telephone Company for over 10 years and was a member of St. Michael”s Catholic Church, now St. Katharine Drexel Parish.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald McCarthy of Beaver Dam; her three children, Michael (Fiancee-Carol Brazee) McCarthy of Beaver Dam, David (Michelle) McCarthy of Mundelein, Illinois and Julie (Andrew) Harmsen of Juneau; four grandchildren, Steven and Sean Harmsen, Allison McCarthy and Scott Kempel; her sister, Rosemary Sieja; her brothers, James (Ann) Kaiser and Richard (Maxine) Kaiser all of Beaver Dam, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Jean McCarthy”s name to the Alzheimer”s Association.
