Jeanette H. Klawitter

Jeanette Hattie Klawitter, 83, of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam. A visitation for Jeanette will take place on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 12 p.m. (noon) to 1 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Rev. Seth Dorn officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens in the Tn. of Trenton. Jeanette was born the daughter of Arthur and Hattie (Umland) Schoeffel on November 25, 1933 in the Tn. of Oak Grove. She was a 1951 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. On May 11, 1957 she was united in marriage with Roger D. Klawitter at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Over the years Jeanette was employed at Jennifer’s and Ponderosa, then volunteered at Lakeview Nursing Home, and Hillside Manor. She was a longtime member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam and served as a member of the Ladies Aid group. While she was raising her family, Jeanette enjoyed camping, gardening and canning. Most recently she liked to pass the time playing bingo and assembling puzzles. Jeanette is survived by her 3 children; Susan (Duane) Brunn, Sandra (Rick) Apel, and Scott (Jenny) Klawitter, all of Beaver Dam, her brother; Harold Schoeffel of Juneau, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Dustin (Beth) Brunn and their son Ethan, Matthew (Kayla) Brunn, Cody (Whitney Herrera) Brunn and their daughter Raylee, Brian Apel, Steven Apel, Kelvin Apel and his daughter Laylah, Bryce (Saskia Alderden) Klawitter, Ellyce Klawitter, and Grayce Klawitter. She is further survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Katherine Schoeffel, husband Roger in 1983, sister and brother-in-law Gertrude and Martin Schultz, sister-in-law Carolyn Schoeffel and niece Carole Schuett. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church, or to Hillside Manor Activity Fund. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Hillside Manor staff for their loving care and patience shown to Jeanette throughout the years.
