Jeanne M. Hoyme

Jeanne M. Hoyme, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at the Meadows of Fall River.

Jeanne Marie was born on October 10, 1931 the daughter of Arthur and Minnie (Nelson) Grotta in Minnesota.  She was united in marriage with David A. Hoyme on July 10, 1960.

Jeanne lived a life full of love, faith and adventure.  As a dedicated Pastor’s wife, she spent her life in faithful service to the churches her husband served and provided support and compassion.  Her commitment to her faith and family was unwavering and she touched many lives with kindness and generosity.

Jeanne had a deep love for travel and she and her husband David explored the world together, creating memories that would last a lifetime. She was an avid golfer.  Jeanne also found joy in collecting Hummels and coins building a cherished collection.

Jeanne will be deeply missed by her sons: Jonathan Hoyme of Humble, TX and Christopher (Leanne) Hoyme of Randolph; grandchildren: Nicole, Rachel and Sarah; her siblings Donald Grotta, Joanne Schwartz and James Grotta.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter-in-law Tracy Hoyme and her brother DuWayne Grotta.

Private family service will be held and Jeanne will be laid to rest next to her husband at Kinkead Cemetery in Alexandria, MN.

Jeanne’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and residents of the Meadows of Fall River for their loving care and the friendships built over the past 9 years.  Your kindness will always be remembered.
