April 15, 1937 - December 6, 2017

Joann Marie Garczynski, 80, of Beaver Dam passed away on December 6, 2017 at Dycora Transitional Health and Living in Beaver Dam with her family by her side. Joann was born on April 15, 1937, the daughter of Clem and Lydia (Starks) Ptaschinski in Beaver Dam. Joann was employed as manager for Campbell Court Apartments in Beaver Dam for many years. Joann is survived by her children: Carole Garczynski of Beaver Dam, Barbara (Mike) Miller of Beaver Dam, Susan (Todd) Nehls of Fox Lake, and Jerry (Kris) Garczynski of Beaver Dam; her grandchildren: Michael Bassette, Christopher Miller, Stephanie Miller, Derrick Standke, and Taylor Nehls; seven great-granchildren; and many special friends at Campbell Court Apartments. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Vincent; special friend, John Hoppa, and other relatives. Per Joann’s wishes no services will be held. Joann’s family would like to thank Dycora Transitional Health and Living in Beaver Dam, Hillside Hospice, and the Beaver Dam Community Hospital and their emergency room for all of their care and concern for Mom.
