Joanne E. Carran, age 68, of Beaver Dam, died from complications of diabetes on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Friends and family may call at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 511 South Spring Street in Beaver Dam on Thursday, December 14, 2006 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at church on Thursday, beginning at 11:00 AM. Fr. John Schreiter will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter”s Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
Joanne Eleanor Carran was born on November 19, 1938 in Rock Island, Illinois to the late John A. and Eleanor (Balluff) Carran. After attending St. Peter Catholic School in Beaver Dam, she graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1957. Joanne worked at Weyenberg Shoe Factory in Beaver Dam for 32 years before retiring in 2002. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam.
Survivors include her four brothers and her sister, John A. (Diann) Carran, Jr. of Sherrad, IL, George (Annette) Carran of Madison, Carol (Doug) Bajcer of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Carl (Deborah) Carran of Elm Grove and Joseph (Patty) Carran of Waupun, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Joanne E. Carran”s name to St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff and residents at the Golden Living Center for their care and friendship and to the ICU staff at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac for their care and compassion.
