Jodi L. Arneson

Jodi (Fink) Arneson, 62, formerly of California, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Oakwood Health and Rehabilitation in Madison, Wisconsin.

Jodi was born on March 30, 1963 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of David and Judith (Nelson) Fink. She graduated from Horicon High School in 1981 and attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh for one year.

Jodi lived much of her adult life in California, after spending several years in Texas. For 34 years, she worked as a legal secretary at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where she was known for her professionalism, dedication, and excellence. She took great pride in her work and was highly respected by her colleagues.

Jodi lived on her own terms—independent, thoughtful, and true to herself—and was known for her compassion and generosity. Those who knew her well will remember her laughter, sharp wit, steady strength, and fierce loyalty.

A devoted Wisconsin Badger football fan, Jodi proudly showed her team spirit through her wardrobe whether it was football season or not. She rarely missed a game and would often rewatch recordings to relive the excitement of past games. When she returned to Wisconsin she was eager to attend games whenever she could, and especially treasured attending the Rose Bowl in 2012.

Jodi was also an avid baker and was known for creating delicious desserts. This was a trait that she passed down to her niece Kaitlin.

Jodi had a deep love for animals, especially her dogs: Her dachshunds Stella, Lola and Homer, and her German Shepherd, Simba.

Jodi will be deeply missed by her mother, Judy (Jim) Olson of Beaver Dam, her father, David Fink of Juneau, her sister, Lori Dinkel of Madison; her niece, Kaitlin Dinkel of Chicago, along with other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her brother-in-law Mike Dinkel.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday January 16, 2026 from 9-11 AM at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam and a memorial service will follow at 11 AM with Rev. Chris Davis officiating. Inurnment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Dodge County Humane Society are appreciated.
