John enjoyed shooting trap at Pumpkin Center and he enjoyed shooting pool with his friends and in several pool leagues. John was always willing to help friends on their farms and he enjoyed hunting. There was nothing more important than family and he loved spending time with his children. Of course, he was always ready to enjoy a cold one with family and friends.
Survivors include his mother, Doris Berger of Oak Grove; two children, Austin (Kelly) Berger of Hustisford and Alisha Berger (fiancé Jace Laning) of Beaver Dam; a granddaughter, June Menden; four siblings, Mark (Terry) Berger of Beaver Dam, Lisa Berger (Joe Stock) of Horicon, Lori (Stu) Gross of West Bend, and Kathy (Dave) Jesko of Wisconsin Rapids; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by his father; his sister, Heidi Vander Schaaf; and four good friends, Donald “Super” Kern, Rollie Kern, AJ, and Dennis “Schmitty”.

To my entire and very dear Berger family, my condolences to all of you. I have great memories of John from when we were kids, spending time doing kid things on Uncle Fritz and Aunt Doris's farm. While I can't be there in person, I hope you know I will be there in spirit with you all. Take care of each other, respectfully, Ross
