Sandy, I was very sorry to hear of the death of Pat. Although I didn't know him personally, I felt I did through his columns in the Pionier -- such wonderful insights into a truly contented life, that will be dearly missed. As a resident of Mayville my first 18 years, Pat's columns took me back to that part of the country, made me feel what it was like to sit in a boat with a fishing pole, or watching day break in a duck blind and to sense the joy he found in his family. He truly had a gift. My condolences to you and your family.
To Sandy and the girls, The world has lost a great guy. I always will remember Pat with a smile on his face and a warm greeting for everyone. And how he loved his family! My deepest condolences to you and your families.
"Kelly" I am truly sorry for you and your family's loss. My prayers go out to you all!
To Tim and family, although I had not met Pat that I can remember, his obituary was a great way to get to know him. A very unique dissertation and I now know him well. My condolences from our family and we all share your loss with you. God bless your family and our prayers are with you. And remember I managed the Audubon Inn in Mayville for five years after retirement, a rotary member there and on their Chamber of Commerce. I know Mayville quite well. Cousin John Peterson
Kelly, my deepest sympathy at the loss of your father. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Deepest sympathy and prayers.
Kelly and Family, I am saddened by your loss. Your Father was an amazing person. I cannot be at the Funeral but my thoughts and prayers gravitate your way that you will find comfort in God and amongst yourselves that your Father is happy and in a good place with the Lord. My Father now has more company up there in heaven. Just that itself is what gets me through the loss of him as well as continuing to share and celebrate his life on a daily basis. Your Father, my Father and Grandfather can play Sheepshead together now. They played the game religiously while they were here on earth.
My heart hurts for your loss. I feel very blessed to have met Pat and been part of his basketball family. I know that it meant a lot to not only the boys, but to us parents to see him in the stands cheering the boys on. I saw him at last Thursdays East/West game and thought to myself, "what an awesome grandfather he is to all the boys on the court". May you find peace in knowing that he is finally home and in the arms of our Father. He will be missed!!! Thanks for sharing him with us!
To Sandy and Patti, I sure enjoyed seeing Pat at the Marais Players shows. I missed seeing you when I moved away. Loved his articles as well. Am glad I had the chance to know him.
Sandy, I was deeply saddened by the news of Pat’s passing. My heartfelt condolences to you and your entire family. My prayers are with you all. Only faith in God will fill the void left by your loss. Pat was a great man, it was an honor to have known him. I will always remember his kindness. May his soul rest in peace and may the love of your family and the support from your friends help you through the journey ahead. FAREWELL DEAR FRIEND!
