My deepest sympathy. What a difficult year it has been. The gates of heaven have opened once again, welcoming home a much loved man. But he did not enter heaven alone, there were some beautiful angels waiting to welcome him home. What a celebration there must be in heaven this weekend.

I am so very sorry to hear of John's passing. He was a great man. Sometimes it's the people you don't expect who influence your life. For a few years he was my neighbor and I spent time with his daughters. During this time we would go to the Community Center, and he would cook us amazing food. When I returned from Boot Camp I was looking for my first job. I applied to be a cook at John's restaurant. I didn't get the job, but just talking with him about cooking has always stuck with me. Along with my grandfather, John taught me that men could be amazing cooks as well. While i never got into the food business for many years I did think of John while cooking. John was a great man and he will be missed, My condolences to his family and everyone who he touched through out his life.
