John hired me as a part deputy sheriff for DCSO in 1974. I can remember him telling me you love the adventure. He arranged the purchase of my revolver, rest was really an adventure. After 43 years as a law enforcement officer, I retired.
I remember seeing John at the fair a while back and just going over "war stories" and maybe some embellished tales. He did take the time to remind me that he ONLY hired the best, of course I agreed.
He was down to earth, gave a damn and always gave respect. So journey well old timer, remember to say hi to John, Wilmer, and the other old breed. 🛡️🚓🚓✝️🇺🇸

John was my very special neighbor. He and his little dog Prince would start out on their walk and get to my house and spend the next half hour visiting with me. We shared many wonderful conversations and he truly held a special place in my heart. One of the thoughts I reflect on my dear friend, while I'm sad, I know he is finally with his beloved wife, son, and devoted best friend Prince. I know he is walking his beloved pup again. He was truly special. I looked forward to seeing him every day. Enjoy the celebration with your family John. We will miss you.

My deepest sympathy to John's family. He was a kind man who was a pillar to our neighborhood. We always looked forward to seeing him on his walks with Prince. I'm sure he is at piece seeing his loved ones and dogs that passed before him. He will be missed!
