Jon T. Hoff

Jon Timothy Hoff, age 48, of Brownsville passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 2, 2017 after many years struggling with mental illness.A memorial service will take place at Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Wilkens officiating. A visitation will take place on Sunday, October 8 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Private family inurnment will take place at Union Cemetery in Theresa.Jon was born the son of Karl and Kathleen (Schaumberg) Hoff on March 12, 1969 in Fond du Lac. He was baptized on April 12, 1969 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville and confirmed on March 27, 1983 at Hope Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. He was a 1988 graduate of Lomira High School. He had been employed at Jacks Auto Body, Delt Black Jack in Las Vegas, and drove truck for Millis Trucking. He was most recently employed at Advance Auto Parts in Fond du Lac. Jon had a passion for music and loved to play guitar for his bulldog Max.Jon is survived by his mother- Kathleen Schwefel of Brownsville. His dearest aunt Marlene Heintz of Mayville. His cousins- Aimee (Rob) Fortner and their children Heather and Justin., Jennifer Heintz, and Joel Heintz. His uncle- Jon (Kathy) Schaumberg. His aunts- Janice Hoff and Sheila Hoff. He beloved canine companion Max. He is further survived by his extended Schwefel family, other relatives, and friends.He was preceded in death by his father Karl Hoff, step father William Schwefel, brother Samuel Hoff, uncle John Hoff, and his grandparents.Memorials may be directed to Hope Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac.
