Joseph J. Mastricola, age 97, of Mayville, formerly of Menomonee Falls passed away peacefully on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Mayville with his family by his side.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 4 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville with the Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, from 2:30- 4 p.m. at the church in Mayville. Inurnment will take place at St. Mary Mother of God Cemetery in Menomonee Falls.
Joseph was born the son of William and Rose (Roman) Mastricola on February 9, 1925, in Redgranite. He was a graduate of Redgranite High School. Joseph served his country honorably in the US Army from 1943-1946. He was united in marriage to Charlotte ‘Joan’ Viertel on June 28, 1952, in Berlin, Wisconsin. Joseph retired from A.O. Smith in Milwaukee. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards and cribbage. He also loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Joseph is survived by his children- Cindy (Richard) Torn of Mayville and James (Kristen) Mastricola of Germantown. His grandchildren- Ryan (Heather) Torn of Latham, NY, and Adam Torn of Mayville. His great grandchildren- Makena, Isabel, and Isaac. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Charlotte, and brothers Nick (Genevieve), Frank, Johnny (Jeanette), Roger (Eileen), Tony (Dorothy), and a sister in infancy.
