Joshua A. Foye

Joshua A. Foye, of Beaver Dam, WI, passed away on May 21st, 2017. His determination to continue living despite having two aggressive and rare-for-his-age cancers was felt by all and continues to lift the spirits of his family left behind: loving wife of 18 years, Pamela Foye, mother-in-law, Suzanne Kagan, children Katie Liaromatis (Keith), Karen Juino (James), Alex McDaniel (Jenny), Kelly Messori (Damian), as well as seven grandchildren, Kayla Kempfer, Jordan Kempfer, Austina Gilgenbach (Matt), Alex Liaromatis, Demetri Juino, Zander McDaniel, and Chance Juino and one great-granddaughter, Essidy Gilgenbach and preceded in death by father-in-law, Alan Kagan and brother-in-law, Todd Kagan. In his thirty-eight years of life, Josh dedicated nine years to the US Army, first as an Information Systems Analyst and then working with Army Space Command. Afterward, he enlisted in the Airforce ANG doing electrical maintenance on F-16s. His military career included four tours of Iraq, as well as deployments to Africa, Japan, South Korea and Greece. The rest of the time he spent enjoying his favorite things: Packer games with the family, cruises to warm, exotic places, devouring books, playing Texas Hold-em and eating and drinking the very finest, and of course, sharing all of the above with his family and friends. Although he was taken too soon, his greatest pride was having served and died for his country. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to thesoldiersproject.org. Funeral and Military Honor services will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI on Monday, June 5th, 2017 promptly at 2 pm.
