Julia M. Plagenz, 85, of Beaver Dam since 1990 and formerly of Milwaukee passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Beaver Dam with her loving family by her side.
Julia was born the daughter of Max and Anna (Anderson) Geltz on May 28, 1925 in Milwaukee, WI. She was married to Morris W. Plagenz on April 12, 1958 in Milwaukee. Julia was a member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam, and formerly a member of St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Brown Deer, WI.
Julia is survived by her husband, Morris of Beaver Dam; her children: Juliana (Richard) Padgett of Brown Deer, William (Connie) Plagenz of Franklin, Dawn (David) Sommerfeld of Hales Corners, and Dianna (Ed) Lee of Salt Lake City, UT; her six grandchildren: Jacob, Robert, Alex, Leah, Megan, and Morgan; her sister-in-law, Bernice Sack of Beaver Dam; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Elsie Biesckke.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam with Rev. Michael Plagenz officiating. A visitation will also be held on Sunday, February 20th from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will take place at Kingston Cemetery, Kingston, WI the following day.
