Kaye L. Janisch, 84, of Beaver Dam passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Kaye was born on April 13, 1940 in Beaver Dam to Mally and Louise (Slaathaug) Wheeler. She was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School. Kaye worked for her family’s grocery store, Wheeler’s Grocery Store in Beaver Dam.
Kaye was a member of Trinity Church – United Methodist in Beaver Dam. She foster parented numerous children over the years. Kaye loved to play cards. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Kaye is survived by her children: Jody Lighty, Todd (Mary) Keil, Tena (Troy) Wild, and Jenifer Nehmer (Wally Miller); grandchildren: Brock George, Dylan, Josh, and Holly Keil, MacKenzie and Haley Braxton, and Spencer Nehmer; five great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Tyler George; and her brothers: Robert (Gloria) Wheeler and Dean (Elaine) Wheeler.
A memorial gathering will take place at Trinity Church – United Methodist in Beaver Dam on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Rev. Eric Taylor will officiate.
Memorials may be directed to Trinity Church – United Methodist in Beaver Dam.
Kaye’s family would like to thank the staff of Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam for all their care and support.

My condolences in the passing of Kay. My dad was at Hillside until his passing in January of this year. Each time we came to visit him, Kay was sitting there in the area by the birds with a smile on her face. Appreciated her positivity in spite of limitations.Feel privileged that I got to know her a little.
