Lauretta C. Peters, age 91, of Horicon, WI passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Marvin’s Manor in Horicon.A Mass of Christian Burial for Lauretta will be held on Saturday, February 27 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Horicon with Rev. Fr. Mike Petrie presiding. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 27, from 9:30 a.m. till 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow the service at the St. Malachy Cemetery in Horicon. Lauretta was born on June 20, 1924 in Atwater, WI, the daughter of Peter and Rose (nee Shriener) Holbach. On September 18, 1943 she was united in marriage to Leroy Peters at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waupun. With her husband she owned and operated Hilltop Kennels for over 35 years in Burnett. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon where she served in many capacities. In her spare time Lauretta loved taking care of her flowers.Lauretta is survived by her children- Helen (Ron) Oszuscik of Neosho, Michael Peters of Vancouver, B.C., and Philip Peters of Burnett, her son- in-law Edwin Richards, Jr. of Madison., her grandchildren- Jason (Shelia) Henry of Madison and Jamie (James) Phillips of Madison, her great grandchildren- Parker Henry, Preston Henry, Londyn Henry, Kamrun Phillips, and Savanah Phillips, her sister- Virginia (Eugene) Rake of Columbus, her sisters-in- law Ida Holbach, Mildred Holbach, and Jean Holbach. She is further survived by nieces & nephews, other relatives & friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, daughter Mary, brothers Edward Holbach, Henry (Florence) Holbach, Wilfred Holbach, Melvin Holbach, and Richard (Agnes) Holbach, sisters Rosella (Hilbert) Frey and Florence (Edwin) Kovalaske.Memorials may be directed to Marvin’s Manor in Horicon.
