Laurie Anne Nelson

On September 19^th, 2022, Laurie Anne Nelson was carried home, pain free at last.

As a proudly devoted wife, her husband, Paul, was truly her best friend. They were married on July 7^th, 1986, a love that stood the test of time. Being a mom was the joy of her lifetime, holding no doubt that it was her greatest accomplishment. Whether she was a homemaker or a millionaire, this sentiment would have remained the same. Her kids say, “thank you, Mom.” She skipped to a beat nobody else could hear, leaving a memorable and beautiful wake behind her. Some of her favorite interests included praying, reading her Bible, caregiving, trend setting, sarcasm as a second language, all things funny, and being a master conversationalist. Loved and remembered by family, friends, and strangers alike, Laurie made an impression everywhere she went.

Laurie is survived by her beloved husband, Paul Nelson. Four children: James Nelson, Paul Nelson Jr. (Whitney Schecher), Laurie Reckner (Jacob Reckner), and David Nelson (Sabrina Westfall). Grandchildren: Lilly Wruck, David Nelson Jr., Nash Nelson, Kayden Westfall, Rylee Nelson, and Walter Nelson. Her mom: Barbara Hungerford. Three brothers: Tim Hungerford, Steve Hungerford, and James Hungerford. Nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and countless other people she loved. Laurie is preceded by her dad: David Hungerford, Mother-in-law: Natalie Nelson, and her sisters: Natalie Erickson and Liz Nelson. Laurie will be missed, but we rejoice to know we will see her again.
