Lavonn E. Galarza, 81, of Beaver Dam and formerly of Mokena, IL passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at her home. Lavonn was born the daughter of Theodore and Inez (Cawkins) Smith on September 16, 1937 in Beloit, WI. She was married to Joseph Galarza. He preceded her in death in 1978. Lavonn is survived by her children: Deborah Galarza of Beaver Dam, Joseph (Brenda) Galarza of Tupelo, Miss., and Ruth (Mark) Peterson of Appleton; five siblings: Teddie Mitchell, Joy Sinisi, Judith Perry, Sandra Georges, and Gregory Smith; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Jaime Galarza, granddaughter, Katie Peterson, and grandson, Brandon Galarza. A visitation will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m. President Rouse from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will officiate.
