Leigh Anne Soboleski

Leigh A. Soboleski, age 51, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, with her family by her side. The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Friday, July 3, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:50 a.m. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Friday at 12:00 noon with Rev. Mark Wenzel officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam. The former Leigh Anne Mertig was born on April 18, 1964 to Thomas and Karla Mae (Sager) Mertig in Horicon, Wisconsin. She attended Horicon High School from which she graduated in 1982. She was united in marriage with Danny Soboleski on September 11, 1982. Leigh was employed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the Beaver Dam area for 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandson, Zander. Most recently in life, Leigh was faced with many battles. Her optimism and hope inspired those who loved and fought alongside her. Her physical absence will weigh heavily on those who knew her, but she leaves behind a light that she promised would always shine bright in our hearts. Leigh is survived by her husband Danny of Beaver Dam; daughter, Jessica (Kevin) Kuehn; one grandson, Zander Kuehn; two sisters, Shelley Mertig of Beaver Dam and Beth (Dennis) Lutz of Lino Lakes, MN; brother, Jerald (Dawn) Mertig of Beaver Dam; mother-in-law, Lois Soboleski of Beaver Dam; sisters-in-law, Donna (Ralph) Woodke and Cheryl Prest, both of Beaver Dam; brother-in-law, Larry Soboleski of Madison; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Bethany Soboleski in 2009; and father-in-law, Raymond Soboleski. The Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is caring for the family.
