Leonard F. Schnabl

On October 15, 2025, Leonard “Len” Frank Schnabl Jr., age 79, peacefully died surrounded by his loving wife Joyce of 52 years, and their little dog, Tucker, at Harbor Haven Health and Rehabilitation in Fond du Lac.

A Celebration of Len’s life will take place at a later date.

Len was born on December 22, 1945. He was the son of the late Leonard Schnabl and Dorothy (Raether) Schnabl. He graduated from Seymour High School in 1964.

Len graduated with a Business Degree in 1968 from Platteville University, Wisconsin. Len proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Len was stationed as a sergeant in Korea. After the service, he attended University of Wisconsin, Madison Law school in 1971. He graduated with a Law Degree in 1974.

In the second year of law school, Len met his future wife, Joyce Revolinski, on a blind date, set up by a teacher friend Jolynn and her husband Ken. They were married on August 15, 1973, in Madison.

Len worked in Mayville as an attorney in one of the law offices until he retired. He was involved in Wings Over Wisconsin, Mayville Lions, Mayville American Legion Post #69, and a member of the Town Board of the Town of Williamstown for many years.

Len and Joyce together enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, gardening, cutting and splitting firewood, and planting trees.

Len was a “farmer at heart”. He was raised on a farm in Black Creek and would come home to help in the fields, bailing hay, and working in the barn milking cows.

Len and his wife had a cottage on Winnebago Lake in Oshkosh. In 2011, they moved from Mayville to Oshkosh and enjoyed living by the lake all year round and planted more trees.

Len is survived by his caregiving wife Joyce; sister Jacquelyn Schnabl; sister-in-law Judy (Dan) Dummert; sisters-in-law: Linda Revolinski and Charlene Revolinski. Len is further survived and dearly missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Len was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Janice (Bob) Brown; mother-in-law Esther Revolinski; and brother-in-law Jeff Danzinger.
