Leta R. Schwoerer, 63, of Columbus passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.Leta was born the daughter of Richard and Marlene (Woodmansee) Longseth on April 28, 1958 in Milwaukee. She received her degree in nursing at MATC in Madison. Leta was employed as a cardiac nurse for 14 years at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. She was married to James Schwoerer on June 21, 1975 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Columbus. Leta loved reading, crocheting, sewing and crafts. Her love of collecting angels could be seen throughout her home. She loved listening to music and dancing. Leta especially had a deep love for her family.Leta is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jim of Columbus; her children: Marlene Schwoerer of Columbus, James (Jolene) Schwoerer Jr. of Columbus, Miranda (Craig) Ransom of Pardeeville, Nicholas (Ashley) Schwoerer of Columbus, Nathan Schwoerer of Columbus and Joshua (Cindy) Schwoerer of Columbus; 14 grandchildren: Rochelle and Bronwyn Schwoerer, Evelyn, Karissa and Levi Schwoerer, Violet, Sylas and Dominic Ransom, Olivia, Charlotte and Brooke Schwoerer, and Emma, Eleanor and Michael Schwoerer; two great grandchildren: Damian and Elizabeth Smith; siblings: Victoria Hoover of NC, Diana Fumuso of Monona and Richard Longseth of Green Bay; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Debra Hathaway.A private family funeral service will be held at the Koepsell-Zeidler Funeral Home in Columbus. Interment will take place at Hampden Cemetery in the township of Hampden.
