Lewis ‘Louie’ H. Terlisner Jr., 66, a resident of Beaver Dam, WI and formerly of Lowden, IA passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Fr. Michael Erwin officiating. A visitation will also be held on Friday, April 1st from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Military honors will be conducted by the John E. Miller American Legion Post 146 of Beaver Dam following the service at the funeral home.
Louie was born the son of Lewis and Grace (Wolf) Terlisner, Sr. on January 4, 1945 in Monticello, IA. He was married to Diana Rettkowski on February 27, 1971 in Clinton, IA. Louie served his country in the United States Navy for four years. He was employed as a signalman for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad until his retirement in 1993.
Louie volunteered at the Beaver Dam Senior Center. His hobbies included fishing and collecting model trains. Louie was a loyal St. Louis, Notre Dame and Kevin Harvick NASCAR fan.
Louie is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diana of Beaver Dam; his children: Joe (Nick) Terlisner of Horicon, WI, Ann (Eugene) Harms of Lowden, IA, John (Nicole) Terlisner of Beaver Dam, Jeremy (Stacey) Terlisner of Beaver Dam and Amy (Greg) Haines of Beaver Dam; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, James.
