Linda J. Huebner, 75, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026 at her home in the township of Trenton.
Linda was born on April 29, 1950 in Watertown to LeEarl and Lois (Johnson) Peterson. Over the years, she was employed as a CNA at two county nursing homes, the Watertown Hospital surgery unit, and private homecare. Linda also was employed as the manager of the Dodge County Humane Society for 12 years. Linda taught crochet, donated hundred of quilts, and enjoyed painting saw blades.
On May 1, 1980, Linda moved to Lowell, saw her future husband Dan Huebner, and said, “I’m going to marry him” – not knowing him or even his name. Six years later, they did marry and that love grew stronger year by year. They celebrated 39 years on September 30, 2025.
Linda is survived by her husband Dan and their playful dog Reba; her precious children: Debra Roy, Lisa (Dean) Knueppel, and Jason (Renee) Roy; grandchildren: Season, Lucas (Alyssa), Elizabeth, Brock (Caitlin), Caleb (Hannah), and Landon; great grandchildren: Nevaeh, Dane, Miranda, and Kennedy; great-great grandchild Amani; and further survived by her siblings: Larry (Susan), Lloyd (Stephanie), Lyle (Joyce), Jim, and Amy (Andy); her uncle John Huebner; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Cheryl; and special niece Rachel.
Linda was generous and compassionate. She especially cared for the elderly and underprivileged. If you care to remember her, do a kind deed or offer financial assistance to someone in need. Her greatest wish was that all people sign up to be organ donors, please do so.
Memorials may be given to Holy Hill Restoration Fund, St. Judes, or a church of your choice. There will be a private family service at a later date.
