Linda Tischler passed away peacefully at her home in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin on December 16, 2025, at the age of 74.
Linda was born on February 25, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Richard Williams and Virginia (Fish) Williams. She grew up enjoying a lively and memorable childhood, shaped by family, opportunity, and experiences that stayed with her throughout her life. She was one of four siblings, growing up alongside two brothers and one sister.
She later met Jerold “Jerry” Tischler, the “love of her life” and soulmate. Their marriage, like many lasting unions, held both depth and complexity, and was sustained by a bond that endured over time. Together, they had two children, Preea and Wyatt, and raised their family in Naples, Florida. Linda devoted her time to her home and children, taking an active role in their school lives and participating in volunteer work through both church and school communities. Her involvement reflected a steady presence and a commitment to staying engaged in the lives around her.
Linda had a distinctive personality and an unmistakable way of keeping everyone on their toes—something that never faded, even later in life. As a quintessential 1980s mom, she navigated parenting with her own brand of intensity. While Jerry was hard at work, Linda could often be found holding down the home—and occasionally a Nintendo controller—proving that she was just as competitive at video games as she was determined in everyday life.
She was a devoted grandmother to her three grandchildren, whom she adored deeply. Family game nights were rarely fair, as Linda was often caught not so quietly tipping the scales in their favor.
She maintained many long-standing relationships and valued her roles as a wife, mother, daughter, and friend. Her love for her husband, children, grandchildren, and those close to her was evident in her constancy and in the way she remained firmly present, always making her influence known.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Virginia Williams, and her sister, Bonnie.
She is survived by her husband, Jerold Tischler; her children, Preea Tischler and Wyatt Tischler; her three grandchildren, Gavin, Nyah and Cristhian; her two brothers, Jim and Jerry; and extended family and friends.
Linda’s life leaves behind a complex, lasting imprint—one shaped by devotion, strong will, and memories that will continue to be carried forward by those who knew her. While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that she remains with us—in the moments, the lessons, and the presence that does not fade.
In keeping with Linda’s wishes, there will be a private memorial service at a later date.
