Linda Susan Swalby (née Zemanovic), age 73, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, in Theresa, Wisconsin.
A private family memorial service will be held with Rev. Fr. Nathaniel Miniatt presiding.
Born on March 4, 1952, in Wisconsin, Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was the daughter of Julia (nee Magyar) and Stephen Zemanovic.
Linda was married to Richard Swalby. She was a proud and caring mother to her daughter Natasha Plattenberg and son-in-law Todd Plattenberg. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her grandchildren, Madoline and Austin Plattenberg, who brought immense happiness into her life.
Surviving siblings include brothers David Zemanovic and Eddie Zemanovic, and sister Christine Zemanovic. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Julia and Stephen Zemanovic, as well as her brother Robert Zemanovic.
Linda found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for gardening and could often be found tending to her flowers or enjoying time outdoors. Her home was always warm and welcoming—filled with the comforting aromas of her baking and cooking. An avid decorator, she took pride in creating beautiful spaces that reflected her warmth and creativity.
A woman of faith, Linda believed deeply in God and found strength through attending church. Her spiritual life was an important part of who she was.
Door County held a special place in Linda’s heart; it was one of her favorite destinations where she found peace and joy among nature’s beauty.
Linda is now at peace and reunited with those she loved who passed before her—including her beloved grandmother Julia and brother Robert.
