It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lois Hughes, who peacefully left this world on February 9, 2025. She was born on November 17, 1946 in Beaver Dam Wisconsin, to Helmuth and Elsie (Bartelt) Klingbyll.
Lois married the love of her life, Bill Hughes, in September 1974, and they shared many happy years together. Although they did not have children of their own, they built a life filled with love and laughter.
Lois was predeceased by her parents Helmuth and Elsie and her husband Bill. She is survived by her 2 brothers and families, Jim and Mildred Klingbyll and Tammy and Eddie all of Fairview, TN. Ron and Linda Klingbyll, White Lake, WI., Jennifer, Steve (Diana) Klingbyll, great nieces and nephews; Sebastian, Dominick, Isabel, Ariana, Santiago, and Milo all of Phoenix, AZ.
Lois was known for her kind heart and gentle spirit. She had a talent for knitting, and crocheting, which brought joy to those around her. Her hobbies brought comfort and warmth to many, and her creations will be cherished for years to come.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Rest in peace, dear Lois.
A memorial gathering will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Stratman officiating. Inurnment will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the Town of Trenton, Dodge County, Wisconsin, at a later date.
