Lori Kay Wendt-Sheikh, age 64, of Slinger, Wisconsin, passed away at her home on Friday, July 25, 2025.
A Memorial Service for Lori will take place on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Horicon with Rev. Chris Davis officiating. A visitation for Lori will be held at the funeral home in Horicon on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon will take place on a later date.
Lori was born the daughter of Warren and Marlene (nee Wagner) Wendt on July 29, 1960, in Beaver Dam at the Lutheran Hospital. She was a confirmed in her faith and was a former member of First Presbyterian Church in Horicon.
Lori attended Horicon High School and graduated in 1978. In high school, she was a member of the band. She also played a baritone bugler in the Marquis Drum and Bugle Corps in Fond du Lac in the mid 1970’s. After high school, Lori was a camp counselor for a few summers and received the nickname “Lindsay”. This nickname would stick with her throughout her life.
Lori was united in marriage to Aslam Momnani Sheikh on October 23, 1993, at Hustisford Presbyterian Church. Lori and Aslam owned Integrity Travel of Hartford for 13 years. In 2011, they sold to a travel agency in Illinois. Lori worked for several travel agencies over the past several years; currently working remotely for an agency connected to Warner Bros. and Disney. Lori had a passion for travel and was able to visit many beautiful places over the years.
Lori is survived by her mother Marlene Wendt; brother Craig (Tania) Wendt; their daughter Jade and grandson Aiden; brother-in-law Amjed Momnani; aunt Kathleen Wagner, cousins Paul Wagner and Jennifer Somers; and her beloved dog Hank. Lori is further survived by other dear relatives and friends.
Lori was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father Warren in 2017; her husband Aslam in 2018; and her uncle Thomas Wagner.
Lori had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs. Please consider donating to Washington County Humane Society in her memory.
