Lorraine Ann (Nehring) Radig, 92, Beaver Dam, WI passed away at her home on

Sunday, July 6, 2025.

Lorraine was born May 29, 1933, in Ottawa, Canada to Ellery and Loretta (Wallace)

Nehring. The family moved from Canada to East Orange, NJ where Lorraine graduated

from Holy Name Grammar School in 1947, and then to Markesan, WI, where she

graduated from Markesan High School in 1951.

On Oct. 26, 1952, Lorraine married James R. Radig Sr. in Dubuque, IA. They had six

children, Robin, Richard, Roxanne Miller (Daryl), James Jr., Randall (Lisa) and Robert

(Michelle). She is survived by her children, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren

and two great-great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her parents, her

husband in 1994, a brother (Ellery Jr.) and two sisters (Elaine Casey and Alice White).

After working through high school at her father’s ice cream factory and store, Lorraine

invested her life as a homemaker and played a pivotal role in nurturing her

grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards as pastimes.

Lorraine’s family is grateful for the diligent care offered by Hillside Hospice.

Per Lorraine’s request, no visitation or memorial service is planned.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lorraine’s name may be directed to Shriner’s

Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

So sorry for your family's loss. My mother so enjoyed playing cards with Lorraine and will be sadly missed by her.

So sorry to see of Lorraines passing. She was such a fun and delightful woman. I really enjoyed playing cards with her. I enjoyed her memories she shared with me about my mom too. She will be missed. Hugs.
