Louis R. Otto

Louis R. Otto, 79, of Beaver Dam passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Touch Stone Living Center in Mayville, Wisconsin.

Louis was born on October 23, 1944 the son of Walter J. and Betty I. (Franklin) Otto in  Beloit, Wisconsin.  Louis proudly served his country in the United States Army as a heavy equipment operator from 1968 – 1970.  Louis had been employed with Gene’s Tires in Beaver Dam for 18 years. He also had worked seasonally for Green Giant Canning Company.

Louis enjoyed watching Westerns and Old Time television.

Louis is survived by his sister Mary Pieper of Beaver Dam; his brother-in- law Philip Gerber of Beaver Dam; his nieces and nephews: Tammy Sessions, Timothy Karl, Vicki (Keith) Keller, Tracy (Tom) Kenevan, Shawn (Chad) Laehr and Darcy Gerber.  He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Betty, sisters: Rose Gerber and Louise “Sissy” Otto, his brothers: Michael Otto and Walter “Beans” Otto Jr. and his niece, Teresa Karl.

Private family service will be held and Louis will be laid to rest at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery next to his family.
