Louise A. Sawyer, 64, of Burnett passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau.
Louise was born on November 22, 1959 in Waupun to Arthur and Dorothy (Beekman) Van Buren. She was a graduate of Waupun High School. Louise was married to Michael “Mick” Sawyer on March 6, 1993 in Burnett.
Louise enjoyed needle point as well as crocheting in her earlier years. She had a love of music especially country. She and Mick enjoyed road trips through the years to places out west and to Florida. Louise loved spending time with her grandchildren and absolutely enjoyed the companionship of her dogs.
Louise is survived by her stepchildren: Chris (Teresa) Sawyer of Horicon and Melissa (Troy) Boettcher of Columbus; four siblings: Wilbur (Elayne) Van Buren of Waupun, Allen (Noreen) Van Buren of Fox Lake, Delores (Allan) Ellcey of Rolling Prairie, and Calvin (Julie) Van Buren of Markesan; step grandchildren: Alexander Sawyer (Jennifer Schmidt), Zachery Sawyer, Hannah (Austin Keach) Boettcher, Megan Boettcher, and Mikenna Boettcher; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Mick in 2023.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Pastor Barry Lang will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Burnett Central Cemetery, township of Burnett at a later date.
Louise’s family would like to thank the staff at Clearview Nursing Home and Common Heart Hospice for all their loving care and support.
