Mabel Emma Frieda Klentz

April 11, 1915 - August 28, 2010

Mabel E. Klentz, age 95, of Reeseville, died on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Watertown Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.

The visitation will be at Murray Funeral Home in Reeseville on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 from 4:30 PM until 7:00 PM. There will also be a visitation at Salem Lutheran Church in Lowell on Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow at the church on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Paul Vander Galien officiating. The burial will follow at Lowell Cemetery.

The former Mabel Emma Frieda Schreiber was born on April 11, 1915 in South Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Arthur and Emma (Weusthoff) Schreiber. On June 3, 1934 she was united in marriage with William Fehling. He preceded her in death and she married Lester Klentz on October 6, 1945. Mabel worked for Resseville Canning Factory for many years and then worked for Reeseville / Lowell High School as a cook. She enjoyed spending time in her rock garden and watching her gold fish pond. Mabel loved to bake and she would share many goodies with her family and friends along with her mail deliveries. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Lowell.

She is survived by her son, Henry (Ethel) Fehling of Reeseville, grandchildren, Vicki (Brian) Miller of Reeseville, Cheryl (Larry) Goodrich of Beaver Dam, Julie (Jon) Eckert of Merton, and Dan (Kim) Fehling of Lowell, great grandchildren, Abbey Goodrich, Josh and Luke Eckert, and Karissa and Tyler Fehling, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death her husbands, Wiliam and Lester, one grandson in infancy, and a grandson-in-law, Jeff Schmidt.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Mable”s name to Salem Lutheran Church.

Mom told me to follow the link she provided, look at Gramma Mabel''s picture, and I would remember her laughter ... she was right! I loved going to visit her with Danny when we stayed with you on our way to Iowa ... of course, my memories of Gramma Mabel are all tied in with Danny''s newspaper route, the birds, circus peanuts from the candy drawer, and the pond in the yard. I have thought of her many times over the years, and I am very happy I was able to know her the little I did. Love to all your family, Tina & Ben, Kendra, Kera, & Katie Rose
