I had Miss Owen as my Fifth Grade teacher the one year she taught in Durand. I kept in touch with her later as I also taught 5th grade for 35 years. She came to my wedding in Caledonia, MN in 1969 and we kept in contact. SHe sent me the photos she had taken her year in Durand and I shared them with classmates that had her as their teacher that year. She was a wonderful teacher and I am so glad that I knew her as a teacher and friend. God bless her memory.
Marge was indeed a precious lady. The world will certainly miss her sweet spirit but we are blessed to know she is now in heaven having the best time of her life.
My husband has very fond memories of Margery.Mike Schrantz
One sweet lady so glad to have known her. So glad to know she is with our Lord and Saviour we will be seeing you up there our prayers are with family
Miss Owen was my 5th grade teacher in 1968. She seemed to love teaching (especially) reading, math, social studies and cursive handwriting. I later became a teacher and my first teaching experience was subbing for Marge. That was great fun. Marge leaves a great legacy... rest peacefully. You were a blessing.
My condolences to Marge, S My condolences to Marge' s family. I worked with Marge at Washington school for many years. She was a wonderful and kind person. She will be missed.
As a former fellow fifth grade teacher in Beaver Dam and a sister in Delta Kappa Gamma, I had many occasions to enjoy Marge's spunk, witticisms, kindness, and Christian beliefs - which she lived. Although she endured years of arthritic pain, you would not know that by the sparkling smile with which she would greet you. Her presence enriched the lives of the people she met. My condolence to her family for their loss. May God grant you peace.
Miss Owen was a wonderful 5th grade teacher. For years we exchanged birthday cards for our mutual birthday. I will always have fond memories. Thank you Miss Owen. Rest in peace. Caron Parrish-Nowell, Student 1973

Margery was my next door neighbor at Charleston House. She was a bright spot in my day, maybe I should say spark. She was a very special lady and will be missed. My heart will be sad for a long time. My sympathies to all her family members.
Marge was such a good friend to our family, and a sweet sister in Christ. So, thankful that we have the blessed hope of seeing her again someday. Until then, we will miss her so much, here.--Otis and Bonnie Ostrander and family.
Miss Owen was such a joyful person.... Even when she was perturbed, she was joyful! Her kindness and wisdom and graciousness are marked on my life forever. I am so blessed to know her and to know I will see her again someday!
