Marion N. Pieper, 93 years, of Mayville passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation.A memorial gathering for Marion will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home, 301 N. Walnut Street in Mayville with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Graceland Cemetery in Mayville.Marion Nina was born the daughter of Edward and Marion (Bastian) Futterlieb on September 18, 1922 in Milwaukee. She was a graduate of Washington High School in Milwaukee and had taken nursing courses. On October 23, 1943, she was united in marriage to Elhart Pieper in Milwaukee.Marion had been employed at the Mayville High School in the food service department. She loved gardening, both flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed collecting recipes and cooking. Marion loved her family and treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren.Marion is survived by her three sons: Gary (Jean) Pieper of Horicon, Jim “Spid” (Christa) Pieper of Iron Ridge and Dave (Jean) Pieper of Mayville; seven grandchildren: Jeffrey Pieper, Scott Pieper, Zack Pieper, Jenny Pieper, Lizzy Pieper, Paul (Angela) Rohloff, and Patrick (Jodi) Rohloff; eight great grandchildren: Aiden Grasse, Paige Rohloff, Zen Rohloff, Seth Rohloff, Zheta Rohloff, Trinity Rohloff, Jordan Kienast, and Sydney Kienast; and her brother-in-law Franklin “Fanny” Pieper of Mayville. She is further survived by her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elhart in 2002 and her two brothers: Harvey and Kenneth.Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville is serving the family.
