Mark D. Koenig

Mark D. Koenig, age 73, of Mayville passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2024 at the Christian Home in Waupun.

Per Mark’s request no formal services will be held and a celebration of his life is being planned for a future date.

Mark was born the son of Claude and Helen (Rusdal) Koenig on February 16, 1951 in Superior, Wisconsin. He was a 1969 graduate of Milwaukee Marshall High School. Mark was united in marriage to Elaine Koch on April 25, 1992 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville. Mark had worked in sales most notably for Old Fashioned Foods in Mayville and Marine Credit Union in Fond du Lac. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville. Mark enjoyed golfing with his sons, traveling, watching football with a dog at his side, and spending time with family.

Mark is survived by his wife Elaine of Mayville. His children Mark (Sarah) Koenig, Jr. of Germantown, Kim (Alan) Shult of Augusta, and Ryan (Heidi) Detlaff of Sheboygan. His grandchildren- Carolyn, Kyle, Sam, Julia, and Ellie. His sister- Cindy Koenig of Texas. His brothers- and sisters-in-law- Frank (Debbie) Koch, Gary Koch, and Darlene (Keith) Lodahl. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
