Marlene E. Arndt

Marlene Elinor Arndt, age 81, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Clearview in Juneau.

A Celebration of Marlene’s life will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Horicon Public Safety Building located at 220 Ellison Street in Horicon.

Marlene was born the daughter of August and Arlein (Schessow) Schultz on January 6, 1943, at her home in Horicon. She was united in marriage to Eugene Arndt on October 29, 1960, in Horicon. Marlene worked as a CNA at Clearview for 20 years.

Marlene loved to do jigsaw puzzles and often could be found reading. She was animal lover and particularly loved cardinals, eagles, and horses.

Marlene was often stubborn and set in her ways but would give you the shirt off her back and would do anything for her family. She cherished the time they were able to spend together and the many wonderful memories they made.

Marlene is survived by her husband Eugene; her children: Randel (Gail) Arndt, Brad Arndt, Mary Arndt, and Flo (Ron) Pritchard; her 8 grandchildren: Nicole (Adam) Groh, Ashley (Robert) Corton, Nathan (fiancée Caitlin) Arndt, Michael (Amanda) Arndt, Kayla (Bryce) Dewilde, Kera (Johnny) Graf, David Arndt, and Dakota Pritchard; her 13 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Betty Schultz, Rosie Weber, and Janice (Tom) Rohloff; brother-in-law: Richard (Joanne) Arndt. Marlene is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; her parents-in-law: Lester and Shirley Arndt; her daughter-in-law Debbie Arndt; her sisters Sylvia (William) Schmidt and Caroline (Jack) Gartin; and her brother Robert Schultz.

The family would like to thank Aurora Medical Center in Hartford ICU Staff, Commonheart Hospice, and Clearview for all of the compassionate care they provided to Marlene.
