Marlene Mae Knueppel

Marlene Mae Knueppel, age 79, of Horicon went to join her Eternal Savior in His heavenly home on Friday, October 19, 2018.Funeral services for Marlene will take place on Thursday, October 25 at 1 p.m. at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Horicon with the Rev. Daniel Seehafer and Rev. Jonathan Szczesny officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:30 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. at the church on Thursday, October 25. Marlene was born the daughter of Robert and Gladys (Cramblet) Margelofsky on May 13, 1939 in Hartford. She was a 1957 graduate of Hustisford High School. Marlene was united in marriage to Charles Knueppel on June 6, 1959 at St. Paul’s in Neosho. She enjoyed employment at Dodge County Human Services and then later with John Deere Co. in Horicon, where she retired alongside her husband in 1997 after 25 years. Her cheerful disposition was evident when callers to John Deere were greeted with a smiling ‘Good Afternoon, John Deere’. She was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Horicon.Marlene was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandma. Her faith was unwavering and she trusted in the Lord. Marlene’s place was in her kitchen, enjoying her passion for baking and cooking. She found so much joy in sharing her baked goods with many family and friends. Marlene will be remembered for her radiant smile and ‘can do’ attitude, generosity towards others, and endless love for her husband and family. She was a ray of sunshine on even the cloudiest of days.She is deeply missed by her devoted husband Charlie of 59 years of Horicon. Her children-Brenda (Mike) Young of Burnett, Bryan (Lisa) Knueppel of Waukesha, and Brad (Jodi) Knueppel of Lake Mills. Her grandchildren- Brittany (Mark) Ingledew, Taylor Young, Shanna (Josh) Parshley, Brady Knueppel, Riley Bay and Blaise Knueppel. Great grandchildren- Stella and Vailyn. Her brothers- Bill (JoAnn) Margelofsky, Bob (Nancy) Margelofsky, DuWayne (Sandy) Margelofsky, David (Sandy) Margelofsky. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She is preceded in death by her parents.Family Motto: “No Worries — God’s Got This!”Memorials may be directed to St. Stephen Fellowship Committee or Ladies Guild or to the memorial of one’s choice.
