Martha Bauernfeind, age 103, of Beaver Dam, died peacefully on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Beaver Dam Health Care Center.
Visitation will be at Peace Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam on Monday, November 28, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. Funeral services will follow on Monday at church at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jesse Gullion officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
The former Martha A. Riebe was born on October 18, 1919 in Hancock, Wisconsin to William and Emma (nee: Raatz) Riebe, the youngest of eleven children. On June 4, 1952, she was united in marriage with Elmer Bauernfeind; they were married for 50 years until his death in 2003.
Martha is survived by her children, Mark (Lois) Bauernfeind of Beaver Dam and Diane (nee: Bauernfeind) Young of Sun Prairie; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Tricia Bauernfeind; other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, John Bauernfeind, three brothers and seven sisters.

Good memories spending summers with Aunt Marty and Uncle Elmer and later Mark,Diane and John on the Brown Deer Farm. What a great cook she was and her gardens were huge, vegetables and plenty of Gladiolas. Most of all she had a kind heart and took me in as her own kid. She was a hardworking farmers wife and feel lucky to have her as my Aunt. Rest in peace Aunt Marty.
