Mary E. Fogarty

Mary Ellen Fogarty, age 76, of Horicon, Wisconsin went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.

A memorial service for Mary will be held on February 3, 2023, at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin at 1:00 p.m. A visitation for Mary will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Mary was born to Ralph and Murl Hutchins on July 11, 1946. She was united in marriage to William Fogarty on May 4, 1968, in Hazel Park, Michigan. Together they raised two daughters. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Wayne State, Michigan and a Master’s in pastoral ministry from Marygrove College, Michigan. Mary and Bill moved to Wisconsin in 2004 to be closer to their grandchildren.

Mary was a member of Edgewood Community Church in Waupun, Wisconsin. While Mary never lead a congregation, she enjoyed spreading God’s Word. Mary loved to make cards and send them to anyone whom she felt needed encouragement. She had a soft spot for the shut-ins and made sure they knew she was thinking about them often.
Mary loved to travel. Mary had a passion for writing. It was her writing that helped get her through some of her final days, in which she compiled two books.

Mary is survived by her loving daughters: Jennifer (Brad) Freriks, and Amy (Bret) Enslen; 6 grandchildren; her sister, Patty Arsenault; and brother Scott (Sandy) Hutchins. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Bill; and her sister Linda Lee.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary’s honor may be directed to Edgewood Community Church in Waupun, Wisconsin.
